The Key Area of Taking Action is focused on three themes:

  1. Action Planning and Events
  2. Collective Action, Activism and Advocacy
  3. Women’s Councils, Organisations and Groups

Each theme provides information, resources and links to provide Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women an understanding of event organisation, collective action and existing women’s groups and what is being achieved across Country.

 

Action Planning and Events

  • Action Planning – templates, documentation and guidelines for planning and taking action.
  • Events – guides and templates to support the planning and hosting of significant events to enact change.

 

Collective Action, Activism and Advocacy

  • Resources for Collective Action, Activism and Advocacy – documentation, guidelines and exemplars of collective action, activism and advocacy by women’s groups.
  • Resources to Support Each Other – documents and information relating to supporting, engaging, mentoring and strengthening each other.

 

Aboriginal Women’s Councils, Organisations and Groups

  • Examples of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Women’s Groups – specific examples of successful women’s groups making a difference across Country.  
  • Resources for Aboriginal Women’s Groups – links to Aboriginal women’s organisations and other relevant bodies, as well as information about significant dates / events.
